GUI Help
BrainStorm Main Window
The BrainStorm (BST) Toolbar is the BST's primary taskbar and it is always visible. It gives access to the data manager (defining databases, importing E/MEG data), to several tools (MRI, surface manager, head modeling), to inverse methods, and simulation procedures. (See m-file help and figure-help)
MENU ITEMS
FILE
Data Manager |
Opens Data Manager window which is used to define databases and import data. |
| Quit BrainStorm |
Exits BrainStorm environment. |
TOOLS
Surface Manager |
Launches Surface Manager |
Head Modeling |
Generates E/MEG head models:
Make Default: One step procedure to generate a volume head model using a best-fitting sphere
Advanced:
Opens the Head Modeling Tool, to create a customized head model (volume/surface, best-fitting sphere, overlapping spheres, BEM, FEM etc.) |
One Step |
One step (automatic) procedure for inverse methods. Please exercise caution when using this option, because default parameters may not be suitable for your data (such as time regions for covariance estimation etc.) |
Interactive |
Multi step application of inverse methods, where individual parameters are fine-tuned before generating a solution. |
Sphere-Based MEG data |
Create a set of MEG simulation data on a sphere. |
Subject-Based data |
Create simulation E/MEG data on any subject topography. You can specify volume sources on the subject MRI, and surface sources on the subject cortical surface. You need to generate the appropriate head model before doing simulations. |
