Data Manager

Data Manager is used to manage databases, subject files, study files, and import data. This window should generally stay open because it denotes the current choice of data files. (See m-file help)

MENU ITEMS

DATABASE
Rescan database contents Rescan database directories for subject, anatomy, dataset files etc. Recommended to use immediately after importing E/MEG data.
Edit...

Protocols: Opens Database Selection and Editor, and allows you to add a new database or edit the current database(s).
Subjects (anatomy): Launches the Subject Editor. Brainstorm saves subject relevant information in a file *brainstormsubject.mat. Subject Editor lets you edit the file's contents, such as comments and dates, and (importantly) specify the subject MRI. When you import a new MRI, you need to click the button 'update', to link it with the subject file.
Datasets(MEG/EEG): Launches the Study Editor. Brainstorm saves data relevant information in a file *brainstormstudy.mat. Study editor lets you edit the file's contents, such as date of session, comments, and (importantly) link the data with a subject.
