Hello !

I am importing my data in "raw" format and I would like to create several data files (one for each of the contrast of interest) for each volunteer.
But apparently, you can't have several "brainstorm_study" file in the same folder, so my question is : do I have to create, within each subject folder a subfolder for each contrast (or trial) or is there a way to create multiple data files in the same folder ?

Cheers !

Claire

Hello Claire,
I would say (allthough I am not a "BST boss") you can have in one folder several data files with only one brainstormstudy file.
Does it help ?

Hi Vincent,

thanks for your reply. This is good news actually! But what I would like to know is HOW you manage to make several data files with only one brainstrom study file... Indeed, once I have created a brainstorm_study file for importing my first contrast file, I try to use this file to import the other contrasts but brainstorm doesn't seem to give me the option to give a new name for the newly imported data, and overwrites the data from the first contrast with the data from the second contrast (naming it from the initial brainstorm_study file)...

Can you help me with that ?

Thanks a lot,

Claire

Hi Claire,

Because the raw format is pretty basic, it might not let you import multiple files within the same study folder at once (we should improve things along that path).
So please import each contrast separately and then, you may cut and paste each of the ***data***.mat files within a study folder of your choice with one brainstormstudy files in it as long as this makes sense in your protocol; ie theses are grand averages or data from the same subject.

Hope this makes sense (a bit).

Thank you Sylvain ! It makes perfect sense (I think!). That's what I thought I might do but I wanted to check whether there was a quicker way to achieve it. It shouldn't be too long anyway !

Cheers,
