Filter source estimation by frequency band

Hi there,

I am new to brainstorm and analysing EEG data. I want to generate source estimations specifically in the alpha frequency band from resting state EEG data. Is there a way to compute source estimations and/or time frequency analysis and filter it for specific a frequency band? I have followed the introduction tutorials, as well as the MEG resting state tutorial, and the epilepsy tutorial, and tried to use a combination of the techniques used but my progress is very slow and I’m unsure how well these translate to resting state EEG.

Any help would be much appreciated

Kind regards

You can filter source results.
You can filter the signals, then estimate the sources for the filtered signals (provided that you compute the noise covariance matrix from filtered signals as well). This should give similar results.
You can compute time-frequency decompositions of source results.

You cannot compute the sources on PSD or time-frequency files, do it the other way around.

Please be more specific if you want additional help on a particular topic.
