Coregisteration new coorinate of electrode with mri existing in BST

Hello everyone,

If I have new channel coordinated like that: x y z,
how can we coregister it with mri or cortex mesh in BST?

Hi Abdallah,

Welcome to BrainStorm and the forum!

Did you read the following tutorials regarding coregistration of the sensors with the MRI:
https://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/Tutorials/ChannelFile
In this tutorial the whole importing and adding channels is done:
https://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/Tutorials/Epilepsy

Kind regards,
Steven

You can load it with the file format "EEG: ASCII: XYZ".
The main problem you will face is that the position of your electrodes are not named, and therefore you can't add them to an existing channel file, which is the recommended approach (menu "Add EEG positions", illustrated in the tutorial "EEG and Epilepsy" mentioned above)

I'd recommend you try to get a file with named positions (ie. lines "elec_name X Y Z").
Otherwise, you'd have to import it with the menu "Import channel file", and it would be your responsibility to make sure the number and order of the channels matching in the data and channel files.
