Welcome to the brainstorm forum. It seems that there is a mismatch between the install scripts and files that are downloaded. I could reproduce the error and I found out that:
This folder does not exist, it is called nwb-schema in the downloaded files. After changing that folder name back into schema it goes a bit further but then it doesn't find a cache for hdmf and it errors on that. That I couldn't easily debug.
I'm not a brainstorm developer, though @Francois can probably help with this.
