How can I compute sources for ERD/ERS data?

Hello!

I have various groups of events with a -1s to 1s time window and have calculated the average ERD/ERS time-frequency maps using the morlet wavelets.

I now want to estimate the sources of these activations and deactivations (see the positive and negative changes) using the compute sources function and view the same ERD/ERS changes but on the head model.

Can I compute a head model using a time frequency map? Or what is the best way to view time frequency source information using the compute sources function?

Hi Julian,

You need to estimate the sources from the original recordings, and then compute the time-frequency decomposition in source space, as explained in the introduction tutorials.

If you haven’t read these tutorials yet, I recommend you start by following all the pages (at least #1-#24) using the example dataset before trying to process your own data.
