Statistical analysis of .gii files from Brainstorm in CAT12

Hello every one,

I have a question. I used Brainstorms function for converting source files in SPM12 format.
That gave me .dat and .gii files
I used to work with .nii files in SPM, but I've never encountered with .gii files.

I read on the ResearchGate that CAT12 toolbox for SPM is best for working with this type of files.
I ve tryed to do full factorial analisys, I ve got SPM.mat file, but "Estimate surface models" gave me an error

"Error using spm_spm (line 652)
Please check your data: There are no inmask voxels."

Сan you tell me what does this mean?
Perhaps I should somehow prepare the files specifically before working in CAT12?

Kate

I used to work with .nii files in SPM, but I've never encountered with .gii files.

These two types of files are not interchangeable.
.gii files represent surfaces.
.nii files represent volumes.

I'm not sure what you can do in CAT with .gii files...
@CGaser?

@KatePro
Please check the CAT12 Quick Start Guide for a step-by-step guide through the first steps.

Francois, CGaser, thanks a lot!

Can I ask you what do you recommend to use for statistical analysis of .gii files?
I want to do full factorial analysis.
Does SPM suit for it?

Please ask that to the SPM community.
