Temporary directory

Hello,

We have been using Brainstorm (brainstorm_180514) in Linux to analyze our EEG datasets (using the BIC server at the MNI).

The temporary directory that was initially specified to be in my home directory (i.e., home/bic/‘my username’) but because of the quota limit I changed it to somewhere else. This new place was also where the data was placed in. Once I did the change, closing the Brainstorm led to deletion of my data folder. I was wondering why this happened…Should the temporary directory be placed in a folder that is different from where the dataset is?

Thanks in advance for your insight,
Claire

Hi Claire,

Indeed, the temporary directory should always be different from your dataset folder because, as its name suggests, it is cleared every time Brainstorm is closed.

Sorry for the inconvenience,
Martin
