in addition to ERD/S analysis, I want to compare the PSD of post and pre-stimulus intervals in my data. I think I can not use baseline normalization but rather the 1/f compensation would be a better choice for normalizing. am I right?

What I would recommend instead for PSD standardization is to select the relative power scaling option which is a check box below the 1/f normalization option. It will indicate the power at each frequency bin as a ratio of the total PSD power. It may enable a better and more selective comparison between sessions/conditions or subjects.

I should compare this relative power in two time intervals instead of calculating PSD.
right?
