Basic themes when begininguse

Hi There,

My name is Miguel and im just begining to use Brainstorm. It says me that the maximum memory that can Matlab can allocate is to low. So it continuously run out of memory when trying to work. It somehow seems ridculous that my computer does not allocate such a little memory. Is this a problem with Matlab? Can i fix this just allocating de brainstom-db file in an external memory?

Kind regards

The memory it is about here is the RAM (the fast-access memory on your motherboard), not the space on your hard drive. Moving the database folder won't change anything.

If you are using a 32bit operating system or a 32bit install of Matlab, then it is normal to run into memory issues. Get a new computer or install the 64bit version of Matlab.

Or maybe the problem is that you are running operations that take too much memory, and this could probably optimized. What do you do to get these errors? Please post the full error messages.
When you open the Brainstorm preferences, what are the two memory values that are displayed in the bottom-left corner?

Dear Francois, thanks for answer. Just apologize for my late answer.

I am just running the tutorials so i dont think that the problem are my running operations. The memory values on the bottom-left corner are Max variable size:457 Mb Memory avaliable:1022.

My operative system is 64bit. I downloaded theR2015b. It maybe I just downloaded the 32bit version. I will delete and reinstall ensuring to install the 64 bit version.

I will give you a feedback in 48 h!!!

Thanks a lot for your valuable comments!!!

Kind regards

If it doesn't work, please post the full error messages you get (copy-paste of the text, or screen capture of the error windows).
And please describe precisely how you got these errors (screen captures may help as well).
Are you getting these errors while following the introduction tutorials?
