Hello
I need your help please.
I saw on your old posts, that you were looking for head models for children with an age range of 7 to 14 years.
Indeed, my patients have the same age range, and I am looking for brain models that correspond to them but in vain.
On Brainstorm, I only found those for babies.
Could you send me the head models if you found it?
Thank you very much for your help.
Loubna
All the templates that we have processed are available for download from the Brainstorm interface.
https://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/Tutorials/DefaultAnatomy
You can search the forum for other users asking about older children and contact them directly.
I have identified other sources of templates for different age ranges but haven't tried to download or process them with Brainstorm yet:
Many thanks for your feedback
I recomend you Open neuro, they have a lot of MRI datasets, and many of them are from children, I have used it on BrainStorm succesfully!
https://openneuro.org/
They are free!
check this:

This is a preschool children mri database, it works with BrainStorm:

Dear Tourette,
Thank you for this link.
I would like to know how you used these mri in brainstorm :
- Did you build a template? If yes, how?
- Did you choose an MRI as a template?
- Have you warpped mri in a headshape?
With best regards
Sebastien
Hi
I just needed a child Mri to compute sources for a subject, so I imported the Mri and segmented it with cat12, and computed bem and fem mesh and then the head model
Ok thank you!
I wonder if I can do an fsaverage with these mri.
François, you insist on the need to have a realistic model for children template (head size that corresponds to the age group, the actual size can be lost due to a normalisation process).
Do you know if an fsaverage has the same problem?
I'm not sure I understand what this means.
If I average these mri with freesurfer tools. Do you think a get an mri with realistic size?
I have no idea... you should ask someone familiar with this.
Either some experts on this forum, or directly the FreeSurfer mailing list: https://surfer.nmr.mgh.harvard.edu/fswiki/FreeSurferSupport
