Broad freq band eeg signal connectivity analysis

Hello dear expert,
please, if I want to compute connectivity measures as PLV (generally useful for narrow band analysis) on broad frequency signal (1 Hz to 90 Hz), should I prefilter my signal to numerous narrower bands with band pass filter and compute PLV for each of them, or is it unnecesary after selecting an option of Group in frequency bands in Process 1 menu (BS basically does it for me)? And is it the same for all connectivity measures?

Thank you very much.

Hi @kubicra3,

Brainstorm does it for you. The broadband signal is filtered in the indicated bands, and then PLV is computed for each of the filtered signals.

That is right. Narrow-band filtering your signal before computing connectivity is not needed

Hi dear Raymundo,

that's great to hear. It saves a lot of computational time and space for my analysis.
I am very delighted by such quick response.

Thank you very much and take care.
