I am a new brainstorm user. I have a question. When I loaded the Brodmann atlas in scout for analyzing the source location, I found the scout seemed mistake (see figure). The Brodmann atlas cannot cover all brain areas and the place might be wrong. I'm using the ICBM152 anatomy as defaut anatomy for all subjects. So, I check this question in forum, I found this mistake maybe cause to using wrong atlas. If I want to use Brodmann atlas, I should use FreeSurfer templates for analysis. However, when I select the download ICBM152_2016 or FSAverage template, the error dialog was told me that “Impossible to download template, Error: Could not read distant file”. May I ask how can I download these template and should I must use freesurfer templates for loading Brodmann when I analyze the source scout? Thanks.
If the automatic download doesn’t work, you can download the templates manually from the Download page and copy the .zip files directly in the folder $HOME/.brainstorm/templates.
Note that the default template “ICBM152” that is always available in Brainstorm by default (no additional download) is a FreeSurfer template.
Thank you for your reply. I am downloading the FreeSurfer templates from the website. According to your explaination, the Brodmann area of Freesurfer template is not full cortex parcellation, and it just have some Brodmann areas has been labeled. The Brainstorm area labeled in default template "ICBM152" just as shown in my figures is right, is it ok for explaining the results? Thank you very much.
Yes, what you have is correct.
I don’t think you need to download anything beside the template ICBM152 that is included in the standard Brainstorm distribution.
