I have decided to change the default anatomy (ICBM 2023b to 2026) midway through the analysis of a dataset, supposing the newer one might be better. Yet, when projecting single subjects’ sources to the new default anatomy, the new mappings are completely scrambled. I segmented my original anatomies with CAT12 while having the 2023b default anatomy in the protocol.
Is there something I am missing?

The issue here is that pre-computed interpolation between the Subjects' cortex and the Default Anatomy cortex.
What is happening? is that before changing the Default Anatomy from ICBM2023b to ICBM2026, some sources where already projected (i.e. from Subject to ICBM2023b). To time at projecting sources the cortex-to-cortex interpolation is saved. Thus on changing to ICBM2026 this interpolation is not valid.
To fix, once you have changed the Default Anatomy to ICBM2026, go to the Subject anatomy, right-click on their cortex and select Remove interpolations. Project again to the Default Anatomy, the new cortex-to-cortex interpolation will be created and used.
This is not relevant, as CAT12 does not uses the Default Anatomy at all.
