Dear Brainstorm team,
I would like to ask about the correct way to describe source estimation settings in Brainstorm for MEG data analysis.
In my analysis, source estimation was performed using:
-
Method: Minimum norm imaging
-
Measure: Current density map
-
Source model: Constrained: Normal to cortex
-
Depth weighting: enabled
I would like to confirm the following points:
-
What is the most accurate way to describe this source estimation approach? In particular, is it appropriate to describe this setting as a depth-weighted minimum norm estimate, or is it better to use the official Brainstorm terminology shown in the interface?
-
How should the relationship between current density map, depth weighting, and statistically normalized solutions such as dSPM and sLORETA be explained from the Brainstorm perspective?
My goal is to describe the Brainstorm implementation as accurately as possible.
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
