Cleaning up Unicorn 8 channel data

Hello! I have collected EEG data using an 8-channel g.tec Unicorn cap. Has anyone been able to clean up the artifacts from the data, do an ICA or use the baseline to get better results?

Hello @slanoix, artifact removal with ICA (and with other methods), and baseline normalization are methods implement in Brainstorm.

To get familiar with Brainstorm, check the Get started tutorials, while they are based on MEG signals, the workflow is almost the same as with EEG.

In short, you would need to:

  1. Create a new subject
  2. Review the raw data
  3. Run ICA, and select components to remove

Thank you. At the moment, I cannot get Brainstorm to run. I have installed it, as well as the no licence version of Matlab. I have set the matlabroot line to point to the following folder : "C:\Program Files\MATLAB\MATLAB Runtime\R2024b", as per the installation instructions. When I run Brainstorm, I get a black window for a fraction of a second, that's it.

You need the install the Matlab Runtime 2023a
(as Brainstorm is compiled with that version)
