Cortical sources estimation using the Minimum-norm imaging

Hi,
I'm a pediatric neurologist working on auditory evoked potentials in an infant population (0 to 24 months old). I performed cortical sources estimation on grand average auditory evoked potentials using the Minimum-norm imaging (MNI) following the tutorials in Brainstorm. Before computing the head model using OpenMEEG BEM, I performed MRI segmentation to generate BEM surfaces via Brainstorm. What is the accuracy of the localization of brain activity using this method (NMI)?

Thank you

Best regards

Karine

Hello Karine,

Spatial resolution depends on several factors: number and types of sensors (EEG vs MEG), data quality (noise and artifacts) and brain location (deeper regions are less resolved than superficial cortex). To give you and idea, I can recommend the following papers and related literature:

Hello Sylvain

Merci beaucoup. I will read the papers.
