Hello,
There is no default set of positions for 10-05 EEG caps yet (or maybe some do, but I don’t know which ones).
I could easily add one. Would you have standard positions to share, or can you point somewhere where I could find this information?
Thanks,
Francois
Hi Francois:
Thanks for prompt response.
I think this standard can be found in EEGLAB. I also have one if you can’t get it from EEGLAB.
Hello
I added a 10-05 template I found in FieldTrip distribution (coming from ASA).
I also added menus “Add EEG positions”, when you right-click on the channel file, to just copy the positions from one channel file into another (channels matched by name).

Hi Francois,
at moment i’m using ABM B-Alert X10 for the EEG acquisition. I would like to know the correct steps to process the data correctly.
Thanks
Hello,
For starting using Brainstorm for EEG, I recommend you follow all the introduction tutorials at least until #19 using the example dataset, then read the EEG/Epilepsy tutorial available on the same page:
https://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/Tutorials
We don’t have default 3D positions for this EEG cap. If you have such information, please send me the electrodes positions (aligned on an MNI template if possible) and I will add it as a default in Brainstorm.
Cheers
Francois
Hi Francois! When I select "use default EEG cap", there are some optional biosemi templates, such as "biosemi64 10-10", "biosemi64 A01" and "biosemi64 A1". I wonder what the "biosemi64 A01" and "biosemi64 A1" mean? Could you provide some tutorials? Thanks!
These is the same cap, but with different naming of the electrodes.
10-10: Channels are named Fp1, F7, etc.
A01: Channels are named A01, A02, etc.
A1: Channels are named A1, A2, etc.
Different versions of the acquisition software (or different versions of the cap?) create files with different naming convention for the electrodes.
When you use the menu "Add EEG positions", the data channels in the recordings are matched with the electrode positions based on their names. You need to pick the template that matches your recordings. Only one of the three should work correctly.
Thanks very much!
