Dear Francois,
The following error message popped up when I tried to export the scout time series from a single subject file:
** Error: [process_extract_cluster] Extract > Scouts time series
** Line 347: Attempt to reference field of non-structure array.
Exporting from an grand averaged file worked fine. Do you know what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Tam
Dear Tam,
This is happening because your are trying to extract the values of a scout that is not available in the atlas currently selected in the surface.
I fixed this bug, and you will now get a warning message: "Scout xxx is not available in atlas xxx in surface file “xxx.mat”. You should make sure that the scout was initially defined on this surface. If it was defined on another surface, the vertex indices are probably wrong…"
You can update Brainstorm (menu Help > Update Brainstorm) and try again.
Cheers,
Francois
Hi Francois,
Does that mean that that I have to define the scouts on every source file from which I want to extract the time series? That’s quite laborious as I want to run a repeated measures ANOVA. Is there any way to automatize this process?
Thanks,
Tam
Hi again,
I see now that you only need to load the atlas once for each subject, as the atlas is saved on the surface file itself. That’s not too bad.
Cheers,
Tam
Hi Tam,
The scouts are attached to one precise the cortex surface and should never be used on other surfaces because the vertex indices do not match between surfaces.
Unfortunately, there is no way to project the scouts from one subject to another yet. If you have multiple subjects, you need to create the scout or load the atlas for each subject.
If all your subjects are using the default Colin27 anatomy, you should have configured them with the option “Yes, use default anatomy”, in that case you define the scout once and you have it available for your subjects.
Francois
Thanks for the tip, Francois!
Cheers,
Tam
