Error on saving channel files

Hello,

after updating from the version 09-Oct-2025 to the version 16-Jan-2026 I’m unable to store any changed channel files. After closing the Channel editor-window after changing a Comment on a channel i. e. I get the error message

“Warning: Panel 'ChannelEditor' was not registered in Brainstorm GUI context, hide forced.

> In gui_show/ClosePanelCallback (line 238)”

in the Command Window and a window “Closing editor…” which won’t go away. Only option I have is shutting down matlav forcibly, restarting matlab and brainstorm and reload the database.

Running brainstorm in MATLAB R2018b (9.5.0.944444) on Windows 11 Enterprise.

Hello Ben,

This is was a bug present for Matlab versions R2021a and older, which is now fixed.

You can update Brainstorm to have this solved with R2018b, or update your Matlab version to R2021b or newer. We recommend to use the latest version of Brainstorm to have access to the newest features.
