Hello! I’ve been having some issues with coregistration. For many of the neuromag channels in my dataset, the yellow surface is not sitting properly on the 3d head model, and I'm not sure how to resolve this. I tried following the brainstorm tutorial and changing the positioning on the x, y, z axes, but I don't think it was making much of a difference. I've attached a more severe example of the misalignment (this one intersects with the head surface) above. I've already tried resetting my NAS, LPA, and RPA, and I re-imported the MEG data and redid the coregistration as well. I also have realigned it using head points and tried excluding higher percentages of head points. Any help would be appreciated, thank you!
The question here is more for users familiar with MEGIN/Elekta/Neuromag data, if they have an idea of a potential issue that would cause a bad alignment. Or if they have a suggestion of another tool Rena could use to confirm this alignment, and therefore exclude any Brainstorm issue. One person told me MNE does not have a similar co-registration visualization?
Otherwise, I discussed with Rena that the alignment of the helmet with the rest (head surface and head points) only depends on the positions of the head coils as detected by the MEG system. There is nothing that can be “fixed” through co-registration in Brainstorm if this was the “real” position detected by the MEG.
Also, sadly, the functionalities we added regarding head motion, which could possibly be helpful in troubleshooting or confirming this position, only work with CTF data.
