fNIRS Co-Registration and Source Analysis Without Individual MRI

Hello,

I am currently designing a project using fNIRS and have been going through the tutorials, but I couldn’t find an answer to my question. Our setup includes full-head digitization and digitization of each optode, but we do not plan to acquire individual MRI scans.

I would like to know if it is currently possible in NIRSstorm to use a brain template for co-registration and source analysis, similar to how it is done for MEG and EEG in Brainstorm.

Hello,

Yes, you can use the same template you are using for EEG/MEG analysis for fNIRS analysis.
