Generating simulated EEG signals

Hi,
I am a new user of Brainstorm. Please help and guide me for my problems here:

  1. I had created an account in Brainstorm and downloaded brainstrom3 and unzip. But then in Matlab, I still couldn't open this file.
  2. I want generate a simulated EEG signal from 20 electrodes placing on the scalp. Can the Brainstorm provide this approach? if can, how?
    Please help

I had created an account in Brainstorm and downloaded brainstrom3 and unzip. But then in Matlab, I still couldn't open this file.

Open which file?
Go to the brainstorm3 folder and run the brainstorm.m script, as described in the installation instructions:

I want generate a simulated EEG signal from 20 electrodes placing on the scalp. Can the Brainstorm provide this approach? if can, how?

Start by following the introduction tutorials (section Get started) until #23.
Then have a look at the EEG/Epilepsy tutorial, to get additional information about handling EEG in Brainstorm.

When you are comfortable with the Brainstorm interface, you will be able to generate signals with the process "Simulate > Simulate generic signals", then associate them with a scout to generate the corresponding EEG recordings with the process "Simulate > Simulate recordings from scouts".
