Help for EEG data analysis step by step

Hi, as I’m a new for Brainstorm and my recording system is EGI, 256-channel. I want to analysis the EEG data by the Brainstorm. While, when I look at the tutorials from the website, it’s all about MEG and really hard for me to understand. So, is there anything like manuals for the EEG data analysis?

Hello,

No, unfortunately most of the documentation is currently based on MEG recordings. We will have a new full EEG/epilepsy tutorial in a few months.
However, I recommend that you read and follow completely the 12+3 introduction tutorials: displaying and processing EEG and CTF MEG recordings is very similar. There are only a few steps that would slightly different. When we have an EEG-based tutorial, the first steps will still be to read the basic MEG tutorials to learn how the interface works.

In EEG, the main different is that you have to set manually the channel file (right-click on a folder > Import channel file, or Set default EEG).
Please read all the tutorials and get back to me if you are stuck when trying to move to your own recordings.

Cheers,
Francois

Hi Francois,

When you would post the tutorial of detection epilepsy with EEG electrodes? Because I’m working with it, and I have some doubts.

Best regards and thank you very much!

Federico

Dear Alfredo,

I’m sorry, the epilepsy/EEG tutorial has been delayed a lot due. I hope to be able to get some interesting recordings and write it over the winter.

Please try on your own and post all the questions on the forum, we will help you step by step.

Cheers,
Francois
