Hi,
I would like to know if you have any tutorial on SSEP analysis ? We are currently doing this montage for the tibial nerve stimulation with a biosemi EEG system…
Here’s the set up :
EEG :
Channel 1 CP3-Fpz
Channel 2 CP4-Fpz
Channel 3 CPz-Fpz
Stimulation posterior tibial nerve with :
bipolar measuring with external electrodes one on the fibula (passive), one on popliteal fossa (active) and one on L3(active) and abdomen (passive)
I would like to know if it is possible to process these data through brainstorm and how so …
Thank you
Hi Beatrice,
I guess you will be in a relatively standard ERP analysis context, with various stimulation conditions. The analysis of most stimulus-based paradigms is similar in terms of software processing.
The first thing you need to do is to get familiar with the software: follow all the introduction tutorials (section “Get started” of the tutorial page, at least until #19). Even if a lot of what is discussed is MEG-specific, it will teach you almost everything you need to know about handling recordings with Brainstorm.

Then, you can read additional tutorials more specific to your experiment:
- The tutorial EEG/Epilepsy describes some EEG-specific tools (editing the electrode positions manually, data cleaning with ICA…) - available in the section “Other analysis scenarios” of the same tutorial page
- In the same section you have three median-nerve stimulation experiments a- it’s only MEG, three different systems, but the logic is probably similar
Cheers
