How to import a new headmodel from a .mat file

Hi!

I would like to know how to import a headmodel from a .mat file. I looked at a previous thread http://neuroimage.usc.edu/forums/archive/index.php/t-571.html but it could not solve my problem.

What I am trying to do is to compute sources from a headmodel that I created from another (bigger) headmodel. I exported to matlab the 65 channels headmodel and edited it. Then a saved this new headmodel .mat file in the Condition folder. This new headmodel (typically with 8 channels) that I created was made from deleting rows in Gain variable from a bigger (65 channels) headmodel file.

I’m trying to generate the headmodel by editing a bigger one to avoid to generate every time I need one.

Hello,

The technique you are describing are should work.
You should have one folder with a 64-electrode channel file and a 64-electrode headmodel.
You create a new folder (=condition), copy the channel file and copy the headmodel to this new folder, then edit the two structures to keep only the electrodes you need and finally reload the new folder to display the new files.
Let me know for which step you need more precise explanations.
