Important: Brainstorm update required to get online updates and templates
Dear Brainstorm users,
We are excited to announce that we have completed the migration of our servers to HTTPS, ensuring a more secure and reliable connection for all users. As part of this upgrade, the current HTTP server will no longer be available after 31-May-2025
What does this mean for you?
If you are using an older version of Brainstorm, you must update to the latest version before the 31-May-2025, by doing so Brainstorm will continue to find updates and download templates when requested. If the update is not performed, your Brainstorm instance will not be able to be updated from the GUI, as it relies on the soon-to-be-closed HTTP server.
How to Update
The update method depends on how you are running Brainstorm.
Matlab source code
- Start Brainstorm
- In the main window go to the menu Update > Update Brainstorm
- Restart Matlab after updating the software.
Standalone version
- Delete the brainstorm3 folder (it will not delete your database, which is in your user folder)
- Download the latest release of Brainstorm
- Follow the installation instructions: https://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/Installation
We strongly encourage all users to update as soon as possible to avoid any disruptions. If you have questions or encounter issues during the update process, do not hesitate in reaching out to us in the Forum.
Thank you for your understanding
Best regards,
Raymundo
In behalf of the Brainstorm Team
