Imported "Raw" data shows red exclamation mark after linking to raw file

Dear Brainstorm team,

When I right-click on “Link to raw file”, the imported entries named “Raw” appear with a red exclamation mark icon, and I am unable to perform any further analysis (e.g., review file, import channels, compute head model, etc.).

As shown in the attached screenshot, the icon indicates an error, but I’m not sure what’s causing it.

What I’ve already tried:

  • Reloading the raw file (Reload)

  • Right-clicking at the protocol level to look for “Update file paths” (not visible)

  • Upgrading Brainstorm to the latest version

  • Replacing the channel file with a manually constructed one (channel_fixed.mat)

  • Confirming that the referenced raw data file exists and is readable at the system level

Despite all of the above, the error remains.

Could you please advise how I can resolve this issue and restore functionality to the linked raw files?

Thank you!

Peng-Hu

I completely have rewritten the "link to raw file" in the brainstorm_db and it works.

Please verify your raw data, this is not an error.
What is likely happening is that your imported files have at least one event that is BAD, so the entire imported segment is labelled as bad.
