This might also come under "requests" but I am posting it as discussions in case there are ways around the problem and because it is only a minor issue.
The matrix files can be viewed as "display as table" typically looking like the below.
If you like to select a group of data from the table as shown by the rectangle, this is not possible to be done until the data has been exported out of Brainstorm/Matlab. Therefore my request/query is whether data selection can be made possible from "display as table"?

Indeed, this would fall under Requests (post re-labelled). For the moment, as you have noticed, they way would be to export the data (right-click File > Export to file) to a format of your preference.
