I am trying to download the brainstorm installation file. But the download is not able to start.
Could anyone here check, please?

The download is working fine on my end. Are you sure you are correctly logged in when accessing the download page?
I was able to login couple of hours ago. Now when I tried it says invalid Username and password.
Tried forgot password. But didn’t get a email as well.
I tried creating a new ID. I don’t know what supervisor password means?
Can you help?

When I use your link in chrome, firefox it says starting and fails after some time.

I’m sorry, I have no idea what could be blocking the download between your office at NYU and our server at USC…
Maybe there is some firewall in between that refuses to relay some information coming from the Brainstorm server. But this is weird because apparently you have access to the forum, the website and the emails sent by the server.
Do you have the possibility to connect to the internet in a different way (eduroam wifi for instance, 3G connection shared from a smartphone or a VPN to any other site)?
If so, can you test whether it works?
Have you tried from other computers on the same network?
Can you download any of the other files on the Download page of the Brainstorm website?
You could download the program from another computer and copy it to yours, but some steps are going to be a bit difficult to set up, as Brainstorm downloads a few additional things online when it needs them (the SPM atlas for the MNI registration, the anatomy atlases, OpenMEEG…)

This is a lab computer. Can’t connect to the internet from smartphone. It would violate house policies.
Other computers in the lab have the same problem but in my house no issues with download.
tutorial datasets, anatomy templates are downloadable in tandem.
I downloaded the brainstorm software from my house and brought it to the lab. I m learning the basics now.
I will let you know if I have anymore issues. Thank you so much for the support.

I tried to download Brainstorm from up-to-date versions of Google Chrome on Linux and Windows and it worked with no warnings.
Can you please give us more information:
- From which page are you trying to download Brainstorm (copy the full URL here)?
- From where geographically?
- What OS are you using?
- Is your Chrome version up-to-date (Chrome menu > Help > About Chrome)?
- Have you tried with other browsers? (Firefox, Edge, Internet Explorer, Safari…)

In case you make any changes to browser settings, please make sure you revert the changes post download.
Hello Francois and brainstorm community,
I am having the same issues on a home computer, using google chrome.
First I was having issues creating an account that I am able to login to without any problems. I have created two accounts because of this and both times the link that was sent to me to confirm my account would bring me onto an a page that no longer exists.
Since then, I have been able to login to the forum, although only through unconventional means (for instance by requesting a password change and then accessing my account straight from a link sent to my email).
When I am logged in and on the forum I click on the link in the update message at the top of my screen that brings me to the installation instructions page. I then click on download from the side menu and even though I am supposed to be logged in already, I am redirected to the login page instead of the downloads page.
I don't know whether this is related to the fact that I cannot get onto the download page when I click on download, but I suspect the issues might be linked.
What can I do ?

As Forum and the Download pages do not share the same session. They are different platforms
