Postdoc position in Liverpool using EEG in children

The Liverpool Language Lab in the Department of Psychological Science at the University of Liverpool, is recruiting a full time postdoctoral research associate. The Department seeks to appoint a Research Associate (or a Research Assistant working towards a relevant PhD) to work full time for 3 years from 1st April 2020 on a project using EEG to look at the functional and oscillatory markers of word segmentation in children with Developmental Language Disorder.

Applicants should ideally have a PhD at the date of appointment or be close to completion in one of the following disciplines: psychology, engineering, neuroscience or linguistics. The candidate should have experience of designing, administering and analysing EEG experiments with human subjects (ideally children).

Expertise in oscillatory paradigms and time-frequency and/or functional connectivity analyses would be an advantage. The candidate should have excellent mathematical, programming and technical skills (e.g. Matlab).

The research associate will join the ESRC International Centre for Language and Communicative Development (LuCiD), an ongoing research collaboration across the Universities of Liverpool, Manchester, and Lancaster investigating key questions about language development (http://www.lucid.ac.uk/). The research associate will work on the project directly with researchers from the University of Liverpool (Dr. Perrine Brusini), University of Manchester (Dr. Alissa Ferry) and Purdue University (Prof Laurence Leonard).

Applications close on the 5th of February, 2020. More information and the application can be found here:
