Postdoctoral position in paediatric language MEG, SickKids, Toronto

We invite applications for a two-year post-doctoral research position in Neurosciences and Mental Health at the Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids), in Toronto, Canada. The successful applicant will join Dr. Darren Kadis’ lab, and contribute to ongoing studies (NIH/NINDS, R21 NS106631; NIH/NIDCD, R21 DC017393) and planned research in one or more of the following areas:

· Connectivity and network-based mapping of language in MEG; optimization and validation against rTMS (healthy children) and extraoperative stimulation mapping (epilepsy surgery)

· Neuroimaging and electrophysiological phenotyping of speech sound disorders

· Studies of early language learning and speech-language deficits using natural language paradigms and wearable sensors (high-density EEG, OPMs)

· Advancements in multimodal neuroimaging, TES, source analysis, network modeling, hidden-state analysis, high-resolution functional mapping

The successful candidate will have completed their PhD in biomedical or electrical engineering, computer science, physics, physiology, psychology, neuroscience, or a related discipline. He/she will have experience in collection and analysis of electrophysiological data, expertise in signal processing, with demonstrably strong programming skills (MATLAB, Python, or similar). The ideal candidate would also have prior experience in neuroimaging and a solid background in neuroanatomy, and familiarity with EEG and/or MEG analysis.
