Problem in time-frequency difference

Hi François,

When I’m doing difference between 2 data of time-frequency the process is running, group analysis is open and after I can’t find my new data (screen pictures to show you). It used to work but I changed the name of “Group analysis” by mistake and after that even if I put the same name again (by clicking right and after Edit Subjects) It’s not working, or maybe it’s puting the data in an other file but I can’t find it …

Now this message (beug6) is appearing when I want to do a difference, and a group analysis was reate and I can’t delete it…

Morever after that I tried to go in the “functional data (sorted by subjects)” and I can’t anymoe, a error message appear (there are in the 2 last image)

Do you have any solution ?

Thanks

Marie

Hi Marie,

Please start by updating Brainstorm (download a new version from the website).
(see everything that happened since October 2015:

http://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/News)

If you are using the compiled distribution, the current version is already a bit old (19 sept 2016) but it would already be better than your current version.
If you are still getting the same error message, please post again the screen capture showing the error.

The structure of your database is probably damaged. It looks like you have two subjects with the same name, which I don’t understand how it can be possible…
Maybe you tried to stop the renaming of your subject half-way, which would make some of your database unusable… It’s going to be difficult to help you with this remotely.

Do you have a backup of your database?
If you do, just go back to one of the versions of the DB that was working.
If you don’t, it’s a good time to set up one. Bad things can happen to your files at anytime, you should always have a daily or weekly backup system that can help you recover quickly from manipulation errors.

After making a full backup of your database (so that you don’t keep on damaging it further), you can try a few things:

  1. Follow these instructions to reload your protocol: http://neuroimage.usc.edu/forums/archive/index.php/t-2424.html
  2. If it doesn’t help, try unloading the protocol then moving ALL the folders called “Group_analysis” away from your database (with your file explorer). Then try again loading it.
=> If it works, you can try to recover some of the files that you moved: create a new group analysis subject in your protocol and create the folders you had before (using only the Brainstorm interface). Then move some the files back to there original place, reload the protocol, try to open them. If it works, try with more files.

Good luck!
Francois

FYI: I just updated the compiled version to today’s version.
Download Brainstorm again from the website to get all the latest updates and bug fixes.
