Problem to convert raw signal in LPF file

Hi! I have an electrophysiology file .mat, 60 channels and 601500 points, sampling frequency 1kHz. Every scan shows many spikes due to potential activity. When I convert the “link to raw file” to LFP, using the function “Convert Raw to LFP”, setting the sampling rate of the LFP signals lower than 1KHz, i.e. 500 Hz, and the Band-pass filter 0.5-150 Hz, I do not receive the “Link to LFP file”, but again the “Link to raw file”.

How can I solve this problem? Generating an LFP file is necessary to use e-phys functionality in Brainstorm.

thank you

Carmela

Do you mean a new file was created, or the database explorer just highlighted the first file?
Do you get any message in the Matlab command window?
After the process ends, check if there is any message in the report viewer: File > Report viewer

Dear Raymundo, thank you for your reply. So, in the protocol (subjects) window appear a new Raw subfolder named: protocol_0001_LFP , in which there are the channels and Link to raw file. the files are identical to the files included in the raw folder. in the Report viewer there is the message:

0 errors and 0 warnings

process_convert_raw_to_lfp

Initial files

Subject02/@rawHydra1_T24_V_0001/data_0raw_Hydra1_T24_V_0001.mat

Final files

Subject02/@rawHydra1_T24_V_0001_LFP/data_0raw_Hydra1_T24_V_0001_LFP.mat

Can you double check this?

  • The signals should have different sampling frequency at least
  • Spikes clearly visible in raw should not be (or should be reduced) in the LFP file
