Problems with importing my eeg file

Hello

I have problems with importing my eeg file. I use the software WinEEG (.eeg-files) and it creates files that I can not import into brainstorm. Could you help me? I have tried to convert it into different files, but I have still troubles.
I have tried to attache the file, but it is not allowed for me (new user)…

Thank you for helping me

Hello,

WinEEG .eeg files cannot be read in any open-source software because the company does not document its file format.
From the WinEEG, you can export your recordings to EDF format (if available, select “EDF+”, otherwise the exported files may not include the events). Then .edf files are easy to read in Brainstorm.

To get started with the EEG analysis in Brainstorm, follow the introduction tutorials from #1 to #19 (at least), then read the EEG/Epilepsy tutorial:

Cheers,
Francois

Thank you for helping me!
