I am a junior user of Brainstorm (BTW, congratulations for the tool).
I am constructing weighted directed functional networks with the Phase Transfer Entropy (PTE) NxN method using EEG data recorded during sleep.
But I can't use it.As shown in the figure.The entire connexivity button is gray.

How can I use it?

You probably need to epoch your recordings first (menu "Import MEG/EEG").

I recommend you follow all the introduction tutorials (section "Get started") using the example datasets provided, before trying to run such complicated analysis on your own data:

Thank you very much for your reply. I use EEG data. I have carried out import, filtering, artifact removal and other operations according to the tutorials given by your website. Then I encountered difficulties when trying to calculate PTE with the preprocessed data. The whole column is gray and cannot be selected. There is no specific content in the tutorial. What should I do?

When using the Brainstorm user forum, please:

  • Post all the messages related to the same problem in the same thread
  • Avoid posting multiple times the same question
  • If they do not include any personal/confidential data, post your questions as public questions, not private messages
  • Read carefully the answers that are given to you: you didn't EPOCH (ie IMPORT) your data, and you don't seem to understand what this means, which could indicate that you haven't followed the introduction tutorials.

None of the connectivity functions are available on continuous/raw files. You need to import segments of data into your database before computing connectivity measures.
Please get back to us if you still have questions after following the introduction tutorials, at least until #19 included, plus the EEG/Epilepsy tutorial until section 12 included.
