For locating the somatosensory cortex, it is better to locate it from MRI slices. But if you need to locate it from your cortex volume, it should be good to display it in 3/4 profile view. You have to look for an oblique sulcus with an incination (like a comma) and the somatosensory cortex is the gyrus behind this sulcus. The somatosensory hand area is just behind the incination.
