Statistics for phase amplitude coupling

Hi

I have obtained PAC values in Brainstorm, and now trying to run statistics using matlab code. Do you think permutation test to compare channel comodulograms between 2 conditions (20 people per condition) is a valid approach (comparison of each cells using permutation test)? 3rd plot shows statistical difference.

I agree this is a valid approach -- I suppose you have permuted between conditions to create the surrogate samples?

I just compared each cell per condition using permutation test.

e.g. 65-4 Hz cell condition 1 vs 65-4 Hz cell condition 2
e.g. 65-5 Hz cell condition 1 vs 65-5 Hz cell condition 2
etc.
