Statistics using BST

Hi,

I am new to BST. I was wondering about the kind of statistics that could be used once in the source domain (e.g. on the minimum norm estimates ).
Any suggestions on reading materials in this regard would be appriciated.

Thank you,

Hi,

I am new myself with Brainstrom, but as I have seen there are permutation stats scripts. However, I haven’t figured out myself. But in general for permutation test based statistics you can consult:

Karniski W, Blair SC, Snider AC. 1994.An exact statistical method for comparing topographic maps, with any number of subjects and electrodes. Brain Topogr. 6(3), 203-210.

Hope that helps you

Stephan

Hi Stephan,

Thanks alot. This would help with getting started.

Hi Folks,

the stats in BrainStorm are not yet GUI based. I suggest you have a look at the help header of the permtest.m script that is sitting in the Toolbox/stats folder. this will let you run permutation based statistical tests as described in Pantazis et al.; Neuroimage, 2005.

let me know whether you need any specific help on manipulating your data or source files to run the stats. as a matter of fact, please have a look at bstscript_forward_inverse.m which exemplifies basic handling of files and formats in BrainStorm.

best wishes,
