Stereo-EEG + scalp EEG analysis

Hello,
I am using the latest Brainstorm version and I am currently following the ECoG/SEEG tutorial. In my dataset I have stereo-EEG together with scalp EEG recordings. Is it possible to adapt the ECoG/SEEG tutorial workflow to analyze SEEG together with scalp EEG in the same subject? Is there a recommended pipeline for combining these two modalities in Brainstorm?
Thank you very much for your help.
Best regards,
Anna

Hello Anna,

Thanks for reaching out. While it is not currently possible do analysis using both modalities at the same time (e.g., estimating sources using both modalities together). It is possible to analyze both modalities independently, and use the outcomes from one modality to inform (or confirm) the other and viceversa.

As an example of this multi-modality analysis, you can check the Brainstorm tutorial:
Yokogawa/KIT tutorial: Median nerve stimulation
https://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/Tutorials/Yokogawa

In that tutorial, MEG and EEG were simultaneously recorded, then in Brainstorm both modalities were analyzed in parallel, and at the end, results from both modalities are compared.

If you want an example on processing EEG in Brainstorm, you can take a look to the tutorial:
