Dear EEG and epilepsy experts,
Hi,
I have a long-term EEG data belonging to an epileptic patient alongside with his EKG. During some periods of data, I find some spike-like waveforms, being repeated almost periodically inside each period, but never synchronously with the EKG. Shall we regard them as epileptic discharges?
An accurate identification of epileptic activity requires the expertise of epileptologists (neurologists specialized in epilepsy). These professionals have extensive training and experience in interpreting EEG recordings and distinguishing between normal brain activity and epileptic spikes. Check with your local experts, to avoid any type of misinterpretations of the EEG activity.
Thanks
