Hello,
I am a beginner with Brainstorm and I have a problem when I try to do the step " Tutorial 2: Import the subject anatomy" in the tutorial.
When I save the configuration of the MRI, I receive the following error message :
Error: Could not import FreeSurfer folder:
** Some fiducial points were not defined properly in the MRI.
and I just have "MRI" in the subdirectories of the Subject01. I don't have the other files which are suppose to appear.
Could you help please ?
Thank you in advance.
Anaïs
Hi Anaïs,
To properly import a Freesurfer folder, you need to set all 6 fiducial points in the MRI viewer. Look for the fiducials section in the MRI viewer, navigate in the MRI slices to find the voxel of choice for each point and click the Set button to save it. You need to repeat this for all 6 points such that their label is not red anymore:

You can also estimate the fiducials points automatically by computing a transformation to the MNI template. To do so, click "Click here to compute MNI transformation" in the Coordinates section:

To try again with your subject, I recommend you delete the already imported objects (the MRI subfile of Subject01 and any others), and try to import your Freesurfer folder again. Click Save in the MRI viewer when all fiducials are set. More thorough documentation is available on our Import Anatomy tutorial page: https://neuroimage.usc.edu/brainstorm/Tutorials/ImportAnatomy
Best,
