Hello everyone, I have a existential methodoligic issue. if I am interested in the difference of activation on a structure X between two groups (clinical and control). If this structure is first of all segmented with freesurfer according to an atlas (destructive for example). Should I take the values of activations obtained on the scout of my direct subjects (segmented and delimited by freesurfer) or should I take the values on the projected scout on the MNI template? (I know that the tutorial suggests to project but on a scout done manually and not on the atlas) Thank you!
If you just want to get a specific value and compare it across subjects, you don’t need to project your source maps to the template.
This projection is needed only if you want to average the full source maps across subjects.
