XDF import error: in_data_xdf.m line 93

Hi Brainstorm team,

I encountered an error when importing an XDF file into Brainstorm. The error message is:

## Error: Line 93:  in_data_xdf

TODO: Please post a message on the Brainstorm user forum and share this XDF file as an example

Environment

  • Brainstorm version: [Version 2025-08-12]
  • MATLAB version: [R2024b]
  • OS: [Windows 11]

Steps to reproduce

  1. Open Brainstorm
  2. Go to "Review raw file"
  3. Select the attached .xdf file
  4. Error occurs at line 93 of in_data_xdf.m

Hi @LiiiiLu, thank you for reaching out.

The issue is caused as as the XDF support is limited to streams with the same sampling rate. Support for streamings with different sampling rates will be added in the next days. We will notify you in this post when it is available.

@LiiiiLu, the support of .xdf files has been extended to support to

  • Multiple sampling frequencies (as in your case)
  • Support string format streams
  • Check for Start and End alignment of streams

Please update your Brainstorm instance to get this new feature
