Elizabeth Bock earned degrees from Marquette University and Purdue University (USA) in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in signal processing and algorithm development. She began her career in research and development for GE Medical Systems designing and implementing algorithms for cardiology and patient monitoring systems. In 2009, she join Sylvain Baillet at the Medical College of Wisconsin, MEG center in Milwaukee (USA) as a software engineer, primarily to create software solutions for MEG data analysis and implement an automatic workflow for clinical MEG recordings.
In 2011, she joined the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre as the new MEG Lab manager, where she is primarily responsible for the routine maintenance of the system, training investigators for development and implementation of new protocols in the MEG, data collection and analysis. In addition she contributes to the development of Brainstorm to improve artifact detection and rejection and optimize analysis workflows. Her most recent endeavor includes developing a world-class training program for MEG and assisting the experts at the MNI to develop similar training programs in MRI and PET imaging.
