3DScanner requiring a serial port interface

I acquired a mesh with the Revopoint Range2 and exported it as an .obj after following the whole guide available. When I try to load it into Brainstorm via File → 3D Scanner, I immediately get an error that the software cannot open a serial port connection.

If I bypass this and load the surface directly under 3DScanner_subname, the mesh gets loaded, but the 3D Scanner interface never opens, so I don’t get any digitization options.

Has anyone run into this issue, and are there any known workarounds or fixes?

Please update your Brainstorm instance to get the fix.

Thank you for the heads-up, this bug was introduced recently withing an update to the digitize panels.

Now I can actually open the 3DScanner GUI, However, there seem to be other problems regarding the serial connection. If I try File –> Edit settings and press ok in the upcoming panel, it still tries to open a serial connection, consequently looping an error. There seem to be some point in the code that tried to open a serial connection even though 3DScanner is set as Digitize.Type.

@TomCuso, indeed, it was an incomplete bugfix, this is now completely solved. Commit: 5d0cf9f

Dear Raymundo,

I am very thankful for your fast replies. Unfortunately, another issue came out, caused by the pression of the ‘C’ button when trying to save the fiducials.

@TomCuso, thanks for reporting this out. This is solved. Commit: a77be9b

Please update (again) your Brainstorm instance to get the fix.
