Dipoles outside the head when performing dipole scanning

Hi,

I've performed dipole scanning for EEG data using the Orielly infant template however the identified dipole seems to be outside of the head. See below. Any suggestions for why this may be happening?

Thanks

In the dipole scanning procedure, only sources that you have defined previously are scanned for the most significant dipole.

If you have configured the source space to use the full head, then you might observe dipoles outside of the head.

You can check the location of the dipole that you are using by right click on the leadfield that you computed and then "Check Source Grid"
