When I tried to calculate the Open MEEG head model, it worked for some subjects in the protocol.
However, it cannot be calculated for the majority of my subjects.

Can you share more details on the process?
How did you compute the surfaces of the subjects?
Are you using templates/individual heads?
Can you show the BEM surfaces of the subjects that give you this error?

I have already saw this topic on your brainstorm help page, i tried to increase the number of vertices of the scalp layer and also to find a combination to different number in the 3 layers. This two solution don't solve the problem, the 2 layers are intersecting
Do you have an another solution for this ?

Regarding the new issue, can you share some views on the model?
can you hare also the surface files to check why/how they are intersecting?
i'm no able to share you the file.
All BEM layers are compute with 1922 vertices
this model can not be used with the BEM,
you have multiple intersections and some sources are sitting outside the innerskull.
how did you get these surfaces?
To run the BEM it's recommended to use smoothed surfaces. The scalp surface of your model is not.
