Relationship between averaging and channel order

Hello,

Suppose I had the following two files with slightly different channel orders.

How does the average process work in this situation?
Will Brainstorm still average according to channel name (i.e. Right to Right channels) or will it average according to channel order(i.e. number 4 to 4)?

Brainstorm would average the F matrix from the data files as they are, regardless of the channel names.
Channel Left of file #1 would be averaged with channel Right of file #2.
